Social Networking – Absolute Need To Know Tips

Social Networking is the number one Internet Marketing technique around in my opinion. This is because it is 100% FREE and if used correctly can drive large amounts of traffic to your site and build your list effectively!

Now there are many social networking sites out there but the two I am going to focus on are Twitter and Facebook. This is because they are the two most popular; around 15 million people use Twitter and 65 million people use Facebook.

This means then that you are sure to find a large enough amount of people that will be interested in your product/home business opportunity no matter how niche it is!

However there are tips that will allow you to find these people on social networking sites that are likely to be interested in your product (targeted traffic) easily, here they are: 1. Your account/profile has to reflect the business/home opportunity you are involved with and let a person know who you are straight away.

2. Include a bio about yourself and tie in with that the niche you are involved with, if you are involved with Internet Marketing let the viewer know how you got involved with that industry!

3. Personalize you site; include picutres of yourself and of your family and pets. This straight away lets the viewer know you are a real person and not an automated robot. People will warm to that fact.

4. Include several links to your sites on your profile; do this on Facebook and Twitter by putting the links in your “about me” section and post them whenever you can. All major social networking sites allow you to update your status; every time you do leave a link to your site.

5. Connect with new visitors/friends straight away. You do this by drafting up a generic email and sending it to any new social networking friends. Introduce yourself, let them know how you can benefit them and what product/home business you’re involved with. Then ask to hear more about that person which will lead to most people replying as you’ve asked to hear from them.

6. Constantly update your social networking status with helpful and to the point information. For example I’m an internet marketer so I continually give people access to useful Internet Marketing information; it could be a free report or a link to a helpful site (can be your own site as well!). This brands you as a leader as you are helping others, people will look up to as you can direct them to success.

7. Specify the people you are friends with on social networking sites. This gives you targeted traffic; to do this search for keywords that appear on other peoples profiles. If for example I am promoting a new dog food product I would search the word “dog”, this will bring me up results of people that have the word “dog” on their profile meaning they likely own a dog and so would be interested in buying a dog food product.

Key point – limit the number of people you add on Facebook to 20 a day and the number of people you add on Twitter to 200 a day.

Finally, if you want to market effectively using social networking sites is to keep it up; continually add people to drive more traffic to your sites and frequently update your status.

Avoid These 5 Money Traps When Beginning Internet Marketing

Making money on the Internet is hard enough when starting out without a bunch of people out there just waiting to con money away from beginners or those who push canned programs designed to separate the Beginner from his or her money.

So I sat down and made up this list of 5 things you should watch out for when getting started in Internet Marketing. They may not be scams, but they are designed to get your money. Many times there are cheaper or even free alternatives to these systems. Some may just be too difficult for Beginners to master. So, without further ado, here is my list of 5 things Beginning Internet Marketers should avoid when starting out.

One thing that I would suggest Beginners to avoid is a program called Site Build It. It also goes by the name of SBI or sitesell.com. This program has been around many years, which just goes to prove that good marketing to an unsuspecting consumer group is still effective in this day and age. What the program won’t tell you is that everything in the program that you actually need, you can find free on the Internet. There are a lot better ways of blowing $300 than buying into Site Build It. One red flag is all the positive reviews I found on Google. Once I looked close, they were all fake because these people writing the fake reviews get $75 per each person who signs up under their affiliate program. That alone should make anyone wary, but Beginners can’t spot fake reviews as easy as advanced marketers.

Pay Per Click Advertising. Sure. You can make a lot of money in a short amount of time with Pay Per Click, aka PPC, but you can loose everything in a blink of an eye if you don’t know what you’re doing. PPC is really for those who have an anal personality. It requires constant attention and lots of knowledge to be successful. The people who I know that do well are always running test to see which ad is effective and they spend loads of money. They’ll be the first to tell you don’t get into it unless your willing to lose a lot of money…kinda like the Stock Market! Once you’ve got some extra money to blow, then go ahead and play with it. But just be prepared to kiss that money goodbye.

MMO blogs. Or better known as Make Money Online blogs. The problem is that most people writing these blogs don’t know how to make money online either. They just recycle stuff already on the Internet and fill their pages full of affiliate links hoping Newbies will click on it. Bloggers like John Chow do a good job of convincing Noobs they need the crap they peddle in order to make money online. Instead, two bloggers you could follow and learn for free are Courtney Tuttle and Griz at Make Money Online For Beginners.

Chances are if you’ve spent any time online you’ve seen a landing page pushing an ebook or make money system that promises you great riches just for buying and following them. Most of these are put out by people who aren’t making any money their self. If you look them up, you’ll find that they are always pushing ebooks on how to make money, but none of their websites that are supposedly making money. Save you money, everything you need to know can be found online for free.

Software that promises to make you money. All the tools you need to make money on the Internet can be found for free. Keyword research tools like Keyword Elite, Word Tracker and others are pretty good, but I can find just as good information using Google for free. I make my living off of the Internet and there are only a few pieces of software I’ve bought and it isn’t any of the ones listed above!

You can be the Newbie that continues to feed the Internet machine or the one who ignores all the hype and learn the real way about making money online. Just follow the above advice and you’ll be on your way in no time. It doesn’t take a lot of money to get started and most of what is being sold online today is nothing more than a tool to get the Noobs money.

If you are looking for fast cash, try learning how to make money with craigslist. You will not believe how simple and easy it is. If that’s not your cup of tea, then there are other ways to make money online, just take your time and look at them all.

Make Money Online, Blogging Is Not As Difficult As You May Think

Blogs are free of charge, mini websites where writers can publish anything they have on their minds – well that was what the first blogs were all about. Soon business caught up with the supporting role a blog can play in promoting any business online, and now we can make money online with these too.

There is hardly a business or any other website today that do not have their own blog as a link option on it. These blogs act as quick information exchanges for customers where they can get up to date information about the business or even use the life interaction to talk to consultants directly online.

Unlike a website that carries certain static information for repetitive reading, blogs have a real time feel to them as new topics appear frequently and you may even interact by leaving comments or asking questions. A member of staff literally has to sit and work on the blog each day every day to keep it alive.

Companies that can not save a member of their staff to do these blogs, started looking for help from the outside. Help came in the way of free lance writers that work from home writing content for companies on a full time basis. Opportunists saw the potential of finding quality writers and bringing them into contact with potential clients and quickly employment sites started to appear all over the Internet offering making money blogging ads.

Those in need of good writing skills can now select from the lists and list of writers that advertise their services on these sites: A quick and easy solution for staffing problems as these sites handle all matters that may arise between employer and employee as well!

With a world that has became a global village after the Internet spread over the globe, you may see writers from India working for American businesses and visa versa. Writers make money blogging from wherever they are and without having to leave their own homes.

Blogs are also very functional in directing people to various websites where they may conduct business. A great example of this is the blogs dedicated to doing up to date product reviews. The blogger place a post on the new article talking about the specifications, models, makes and good and bad points of the new product. A photo is included as well as links to websites where you can either learn more or actually purchase the object from.

Distributors of products use blogs as sales catalogues from which they do direct selling, thus making money from blogging directly to their market. Keep in mind that these blogs comes with no supporting factors as the writers thereof are anonymous.

Unfortunately the criminal aspect of the human race is just as hard at work creating false blogs with products that do not exist. These people make money blogging illegal sales opportunities and are very difficult to trace once you get caught in one of their schemes, as the blogging business keeps no real record of who writes from where on blogs.

Have a good look at the blogs you read and appreciate the effort which goes into keeping your favorite blog up to date for your reading pleasure.

Get Started Blogging: Five Blogging Tips

by Angela Booth

A few years ago, blogging was a niche activity. Now blogging has become mainstream. Businesses small and large are blogging. But what’s a blog?

A blog is a Web site in a special chronological format. Whenever you write a new item, it appears at the top of your blog, above the older items.

Your aim in creating a blog is readers, as many readers as possible – thousands a day. Thousands of readers translate into dollars, because you can sell to those readers.

Let’s get started blogging. These top tips will help you to create a successful blog:

1. What’s it about? Your blog has to be about a specific topic

Your blog needs to be about something specific, so choose a topic to blog about. Choose any topic about which you have some knowledge, and about which you can write, such as photography, weight loss, or parenting.

2. Write your blog as if you’re chatting with a friend

Try to make your writing as relaxed and casual as you can on your blog. Imagine that you’re chatting to a close friend, or writing someone an email message. If you’re writing a business blog, keep the casual feel: you want your readers to feel as if you’re talking directly to them.

3. Decide how often you will blog

The more items you post to your blog, the more traffic (readers) you’ll get. So blog to a schedule. You could blog once a day, or once a week.

4. Blog from your readers point of view

The more useful information or entertainment you provide, the more popular your blog will become. Think about your readers, and what they want to know about your blog’s topic. If you encourage comments, they will tell you what they want to know.

5. Your blog is a conversation: encourage comments

Encourage your readers to chat with you and other visitors to your blog via the comments. The more readers interact, the more they will feel part of the community which builds around your blog.

How you can make a lot of money online without spending a dollar

Making money online is not hard at all. The only thing you need is time and patience. Of course there are advantages of having money to spend, but it is not something that is required at all.

What I do to make money online is actually as simple as this. I make a website about a subject that I think people might be interested in, I promote the website until I get decent traffic and I find a way to make money from that traffic.

The hard part is to actually promote it. To get the best results, you would have to learn something called SEO. SEO stands for search engine optimization, and is the techniques that internet marketeers use to get their sites ranked as high as they can in the search engine result pages.

Basic SEO is divided into two parts. On page and off page SEO.

A short explanation of on page SEO: Everything that we do on the page itself. What we want is for the search engines to know exactly what our site is about as soon as possible. It shouldn’t have to read the entire site to know what we are writing about. This makes it a lot easier to rank for a keyword.

The off page SEO involves the things that doesn’t happen on the page. Basically it boils down to one thing, backlinks. Keyword anchored backlinks to be precise. This is the single most important factor for getting a site well ranked. Get as many quality backlinks as you can, and use your keywords as the anchor text.

Sounds easy? Well, it is. In my opinion it is a lot easier than getting your traffic from social sites such as facebook, digg, stumbleupon, etc. And, it has a few advantages over those methods too. The traffic that you get from the search engines are a lot more targeted in the way that it is actually looking for sites with your subject. This makes the visitors much more likely to buy something from your site.

For any given site, there is a limit on how much traffic you can get. The limit is set by how many keywords you can rank for. When you are out of ideas on one subject, move one to another subject, create a site, optimize it and move on again. When you have enough of these sites you can lean back and collect a healthy paycheck every month.

Starting an Internet Home Business? Avoid These Common Mistakes

by Derek Gehl

Most internet home business entrepreneurs fail when they start their internet business because they make one large error.

Entrepreneurs find a product to sell on the internet before researching the market potential (also their profit potential)

Internet home business entrepreneurs need to find a niche market looking for their product before they decide on a product to sell online.

Once they think they have a profitable business idea for their niche market, market research must be done to ensure this is really the case.

To avoid this fatal mistake follow these three simple steps.

Step #1: Make a list of your interests and passions

Entrepreneurs who start home Internet businesses based on their own knowledge, experience, and expertise are far more likely to be successful.

After all, if you’re not passionate about what you’re doing, you simply won’t find it as enjoyable — and you’ll be less motivated to stick with your business and do the work necessary to grow and improve it. So before you even begin to find an untapped niche of hungry customers, you should brainstorm your interests and passions… and let them guide you!

You can find unique skills a variety of ways. Knowing how to pass the exam required to be a paramedic is a skill on which an internet business could be started. Think of your own unique experiences. Maybe you collect stamps or sew quilts – these are all examples of unique niche markets.

A list is a great place to get started – write down all of your unique experiences, careers, passions, interests and any life challenge you have overcome.

Once you have your list narrowed down to a few areas that are of most interest to you, you are ready start your market research.

Step #2: Finding your niche

When it comes to finding a niche market, you’ve got to think small if you want to find big profit potential.

A small, untapped and specialized niche market can be the source of big revenie online.

On the Internet, a niche market is a group of people who are searching to solve a common problem but not finding many (or any) relevant results.

Most people go online to find useful information to help solve a problem, not to buy (at least right away).

The basis for your successful internet home business will be when you find the group of people who are looking to solve the same problem without much luck. This will be your “hidden treasure”.

If you start with a big, broad market you will likely find it full of competitors. You need to think small.

So be patient and explore all the possible avenues. You’ve got to drill down, down, and down again — until you finally strike gold!

How do you find these markets?

Use a keyword research tool like BeBiz.com and you kind find out exactly what people are searching for online – are people looking for your potential product? If so, you now need to think of a way to sell the niche what they are looking for.

By starting your internet home business this way you will know there is a pocket of eager customers who need your product…even before you spend any time or money creating the actual product! You next need to validate your market before rushing off to create the next hot product.

Step #3: Validating a market

Validating your market means confirming it has profit potential. In other words, can you actually make money from it?

To find out, ask yourself these four key questions:

1. Is the market easily defined and reachable? Most potential markets will already have places where they congregate. Online groups, forums, discussion boards, clubs, and special websites will give you the opportunity to analyze who exactly your potential customers are.

Find out who your potential customer is and you will have a better idea of whether or not they will buy from you.

2. Is the market small enough so there aren’t many competitors, but big enough to be profitable?

If you find there are lots of well established, well funded and well supplied competitors in your market…get out! You want to find a small pond but it needs enough fish to make your efforts profitable. If there are too many competitors keep looking for a more precise and smaller market.

3. Do your potential customers have money… and are they willing to spend it?

You need to know if these people actually buy stuff… so it’s a good sign if there’s some competition already selling products to the market. You’ll have a much harder job selling to people if there are too many free products or free sites available.

4. Are they passionate enough about the problem they’re trying to solve that they’re willing to spend money on your product?

You want a potential market that is so passionate about their interest that they eat, sleep and breath it. They will want ALL the information they can get on the subject.

Think about quilters or stamp collectors…their obsessive interest is a large reason those markets are so profitable.

Take away

It’s essential you follow these three steps when you start an internet home business. If you can find a niche market based on your interests, you’ll be able to create a business you’re passionate about. And if you validate your market before you create a product, you can be confident your business will be profitable.

It’s a simple, but effective, formula and it will set you on the road to internet business success.

The Big Adsense Secret Revealed

by Rich Benvin

What is AdSense all about and how can you really make it work for you? AdSense is an advertising program that has been developed by the people at Google. When you have AdSense running on your website or blog, Google places a number of text ads on your page. These are related to the content on your page. For example, if your website page is about car repairs, then AdSense runs ads about cars or auto mechanics- these usually appear along the side or at the top of the website. Every time someone clicks on an ad, you make money. This is fundamentally how AdSense works.

AdSense is very tempting and looks easy to do. It means that your website starts generating money on it’s own. You just let the ads be and cash will be piling up for you. However, don’t get excited yet. More and more people are saying that they hardly get anything at all while there are lucky ones who generate an income of thousands of dollars a month from AdSense. So what’s the big secret? How did they do it?

The Big Secret: The secret to AdSense is that there is no real secret – these people just have a keener sense of how AdSense works. Let’s break it down to basics – AdSense works on keywords. Some keywords are worth only one cent while other keywords can bring in nearly twenty dollars per click. High-end keywords would be those that are used the most often in search engines, like travel, diet or credit repair. Naturally, the more high-paying keywords you have in your website, the more money you’ll make, correct?

Another thing to consider is the amount of visitors who will click those ads. You have to get those visitors to your website so they can view your content and those ads. So do your best to make your website look interesting, fill your space with content that is in relation to the ads you wish to run on your site, and sit back to see your profits grow!

But getting content and articles for good AdSense keywords can also be a very time-consuming affair. You’ll either have to write them yourself or you’ll have to collect them from other resources.

Using Your Writing Skills To Make Money Online

by James Beckett

The demand for writers has always been great, but with the spread of internet marketing, content writers are now in great demand. Here are some ideas for how to make dollars writing articles on the world wide web.

One of the outcomes of this big demand for writers are some great sites that will pay you directly for your writing. One of the best of this genre is www.associatedcontent.com. But be aware that their standard rate of 3-4 dollars an article is that low because they basically take any writer whether they have credentials and skills or not. But it’s a good site to have on your list to keep the grocery and gas money coming in.

Article web sources like this one are always on the look out for great writers to create articles to bring traffic and customers to their web site. In addition, many of these kinds of web sites also double as job brokers for other web sites also needing good writing. So keep these kinds of sites in mind because they can be a good fall back to get work in a pinch while you work to get better paying work in other ways.

Now you will need to write everything you submit yourself as plagiarism will get caught but don’t labor at making each article brilliant. If you can produce relatively readable text at around five hundred words each article, keep the spelling and grammar in good shape and meet deadlines, you will do great. And since a lot of sites pay for any kind of content, you can get inspiration for topics by just browsing what other writers are submitting. It isn’t ok to plagiarize but its ok to let other writers inspire you just as you will inspire others after you.

Another good way to generate good income is to work with a freelance writers group or consortium. By mixing with other internet writers, you can find a group that can help you make good money reliably. These kinds of teams are excellent at getting lots more work than one writer might get and they share that work equally in the team. But before you try to join a writer’s community, spend some time writing for paid sites to build up your resume of published material.

Often these groups are headed up by a manager who gives work to the stable of writers and takes a cut for himself. Other times writers who are good at landing work will pass it around to other writers who work for less and make a bit for themselves as well. But the strong internet market for writers means these writing groups know exactly how to find work.

Along with these options, there are quite a few sites that are always looking to bring on talented writers. However be aware that these sites are usually passing work to you that they hunted up so your pay might be lower than you might expect. So when you sign on with a site like this, read the terms screens closely so you don’t end up doing endless edits and writing more than you agreed to for the money.

These are all “getting started” ideas that won’t make you a world renowned author. But they will get your foot in the door and give you the ability to develop your ability to write. Learn from the experts who know that to write well, you have to write every day. But if you work hard and build your skill and your contacts, you could eventually earn $25 an article or more. But like any other career, you have to start at the bottom and work to the top with hard work and quality writing for your customers.
